I was planning to go out and take some pictures of the carnaval madness in town. But I didn’t feel like going out and mix with all of the drunken partypeople so I had my own party insde.

Amsterdam Damrak

I had planned to go visit an art exhibition in Amsterdam today with some classmates. But shortly before leaving the house they cancelled..
I asked Koes to join me instead and there we went. Through the carnaval’s madness that’s now in Den Bosch and then on our way to Amsterdam by train.

Finally arrived there we realised we actually didn’t really knew what to do there. We were a little grumpy and returned home pretty quick. :’)

Then we baked pancakes and listened to music. That helped
Even though it wasn’t a big of a success this time we still had fun like we usually do.

Mokkeltjes ftw.

Drawing while Martin is reading me fairytales about witches and Thor on Skype, oh my.. ^__^

Today I came across this nice documentary about world peace(click!). Did some workouts so I now have aching sexy muscles and I have been watching V for Vendetta. I recommend this movie to everyone who hasn’t seen it yet(trailer!).

Moving forward

“Without seeing the shadows you wouldn’t know you’re standing in the light.”This morning someone I know from face but didn’t really speak which that much contacted me through facebook. To wish me a good morning.
Just within five minutes we got entwined in a fairly interesting and philosophical conversation that lasted about an hour. We shared some stories and thoughts and all of a sudden I made the line above up.
It was a nice talk and apparently also well needed at that moment.
Coincidence? You still believe in that?A quiet lazy saturday at home. And Skype.

Superduperbargains

Today I went with Claudia to a secondhand shop nearby. It was a little adventure to get there but it was well worth it!

The treasury:
Three earthenware dinner plates
One stone cup
Two glass pots to store my tea leaves in
A nice black shirt of which I really like the model
A small white cloth for my teapot
A book with Tolkien’s fairytales
A faux(but incredibly soft and nice looking) fur scarf
- And! (may there be drums please!!)
An analog SLR Canon EOS 3000 camera with a leather bag and photo rolls!

For the marvelous total of…..
NINE EURO FIFTY!

Make the flowers melt the ice

Found these little gorgeous crocus flowers on a snowy rooftop.
Last week I wasn’t feeling ready for Imbolc yet.. But now I feel the promise of spring too, even with these winter temperatures.
Looking forward to so many heartwarming things in the future!
Make the flowers melt the ice. I’m waiting.

Meeting up with Tim, after 2,5 years. That was fun.
A nice walk through Den Bosch’ city center and monsterpizza’s at my place.

It takes me about 10 minutes to braid a five-strand braid into someone’s hair at hiplength..
